In September 2010, Suzana Hot joined the firm as an associate and has since become a partner.
Ms. Hot is responsible for handling guardianship and conservatorship matters throughout the State of New Jersey, and called upon by the Surrogate Courts in Monmouth and Ocean Counties to act as Court Appointed Counsel to alleged incapacitated individuals as well. She has also served as court examiner and legal guardian in New York Guardianship matters, having been appointed in New York County and Richmond County. She is responsible for the preparation and filing of both formal and informal accountings for guardianships, conservatorships, estates, and trusts. Further, she engages in estate planning, estate administration and estate litigation, as well as real estate transactions.
Ms. Hot has also held seminars for the public at local parishes, nursing and assisted living facilities, given classes at Social Communities Activities Network (SCAN) NJ, and has been part of a panel through the Monmouth County Bar Association for both the public and attorneys, on these topics.
Ms. Hot received a J.D. from New York Law School in 2003. She is licensed to practice law in New Jersey and New York and has practiced mainly in Monmouth and Ocean Counties since 2004. She is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Elder and Disability Law Section, and the Monmouth County Bar Association where she is a member of the Probate and Estate Administration Committee and Elder Law Committee.
